Overview
Drawing, painting, print making, anything creative really – art was always going to be my career of choice and to get the ball rolling I studied Graphic Design at AUT’s 4-year Diploma course. From there I worked for 10 years in an Auckland design studio where I progressed to the role of senior designer and account manager. In 2002 I spent a year in Dublin where I worked in a design studio that specialised in packaging and point of sale. On returning to New Zealand I joined WAVE Design & Marketing in Tauranga where I was involved with lead design, creative direction and managing studio workflow.
In 2008 the time was right to venture out with my own creative endeavors and establish REAP Creative Ltd. This enabled me to pursue my love of illustration and painting, as well as commercial design work. From the outset there has been a deliberate focus on developing direct ‘client- designer’ relationships so work can be produced in the most efficient and cost effective way. REAP’s ethos is aided by being based at Studio 64 (www.studio64.co.nz), a shared co-working space which is home to other creative services such as web design, graphics, film, social media, marketing, and architecture.
I’m married to Fiona and have 3 fab kids – Brad, Ashleigh and Eden. When not attached to a pencil, brush or mouse, I’ll be spending quality time with my surfboard, fishing rod, BBQ or vege patch.
